Lower Emerald Pool - Zion National Park

Water from above falls into the lower emerald pool at Zion National Park. A slippery trail takes you below the waterfall and angled rock wall and around the pool. This view from the  edge of the pool shows the waterfall and the distant mountains. Part of my National Park Series. 

Acrylic and collage on wood panel 24 inches high and 18 inches wide by 1.7 inches deep. Wax finish.  The black painted edges and sturdy panel set off the painting without added framing.
