The mighty Colorado River carved the Grand Canyon. From a distance as in this view, the river seems a slight blue ribbon that hides its power. Human pressures and development have greatly reduced the volume of water of the river. This endangers the Grand Canyon ecosystem including for people that rely on the river. Part of my National Park Series.
Acrylic on panel 18 inches high and 24 inches wide by 1.7 inches deep. Wax finish. The black painted edges and sturdy panel set off the painting without added framing.
Exhibited at 49 West St. Annapolis MD from December 1 - January 31, 2024. May be available after the exhibition.
