Framing Information

What is a floater frame? This type of frame allows the edges of the art to be visible and makes it appear as if the art is floating in the frame. All of the acrylic art on this site is framed this way and any of the watercolor art I have affixed to a  panel. One benefit of a floater frame is that it does not obscure any of the art. If the painting is at the same level as that of the outer part of the frame, there won't be shadows from the frame on the art. Texture and surface variations of the painting can be seen more easily.

What is archival quality watercolor paper? Most of my work is painted on archival quality water color paper (all cotton and there fore acid free.
